A summary for our busy backers:

•  Zeus-X has received a few upgrades to make it more convenient and easy to use.
•  Zeus-X now comes with a detachable adapter (Similar to Zeus-X Pro).
•  Zeus-X's smart LED will be single-sided to provide more flexibility.
•  Zeus-X will begin shipping on 21st December 2020.
•  87% backers completed their survey, if you have not yet completed your survey, please complete it as soon as possible to prevent any delay. Simply Go to BackerKit and login with your Kickstarter email. 

Hooray!  Zeus-X will be shipped soon!

Zeus-X is expected to finish production on 18th December and we will begin shipping on 21st December as our fulfillment partner do not work on the weekend (19th and 20th). We will begin shipping to backers who opted for the December delivery and a complimentary tracking number will be sent to your registered Kickstarter email. Based on our past experience, the tracking information email often end up in our backer's junk mail, be sure to check your junk mail if you did not receive the tracking number during the expected timeframe(between 22nd to 25th December). Feel free to contact us anytime if you did not receive our delivery email.

Note: The delivery timeframe vary from 5 -15 days depending on your country, you do not have to worry about VAT/duty/customs fee as we will handle everything from our side.

We will like to apologize for the small delay as we have decided to add some upgrades to your Zeus-X cable to make it more convenient and easy to use. To check out the upgrades, please refer to the bottom section of this update. We are truly sorry about the delay however we think it is a good trade-off to make the cable more ergonomic and convenient for everybody. Thank you so much for your kind understanding! 

For backers who opted for the January delivery, we will deliver your Zeus-X along with your Zeus-X Pro on January. Stay tuned! 

Zeus-X's New Upgrade!

Detachable Adapter

To make Zeus-X more convenient and ergonomic, we have decided to upgrade Zeus-X with the detachable adapter similar to the Zeus-X Pro! Now you can simply adjust the adapter's position as you wish! If you find the adapter get in your way, simply slide it down and use the Type-C connector like a normal cable!

Single-Sided Smart LED

After a series of discussion with our backers, we have decided to implement a single-sided LED instead of a double-sided LED. A single-sided LED provides the user with an option to "cover" the LED if they find it too bright or distracting. 

We have carefully tweaked the LED brightness to be subtle yet visible. This brightness will allow the user to find their cable easily at night yet soft enough to not disturb the user's sleep quality. If you find it distracting, you can simply flip the cable to the opposite side.

Smart LED Feature

As promised, we have implemented a smart LED on Zeus-X to automatically switch from red to green when fully charged.

• Idle - Green 
• Charging - Red 
• Fully Charged - Green 

Note: The LED will not light up in Type-C to Type-C configuration when not connected to any device, this is because there is no load to trigger the USB-C Power Delivery power adapter. (No load, no current flow and thus the LED will not light up). Simply insert any adapter if you want the LED to light up all the time. This condition is demonstrated in the video below:

Note: The Zeus-X in this gif is our prototype with LED and logo on the same side, which has been forfeited due to the "compressed" logo size.

Complimentary Cable Tie

Each Zeus-X cable will come with a premium Velcro cable tie to help keep your cable organized.

0.3m/1ft Zeus-X Pro 

After receiving lots of feedback from our backers, we have come to realize the importance of a short cable, specifically for backers who own portable monitors, constantly transfer files between high-speed SSD, short cable for USB-station or just wants to keep a compact and short all-in-one cable with them at all times. 

One of our goals was always to make our technology more accessible to everyone. As this cable is much shorter and uses fewer materials, we were able to reduce the price of this variant to make the powerful Zeus-X Pro more accessible to general users.

The 0.3m/1ft Zeus-X Pro is now available as an add-on in our BackerKit survey for only $39! Please note that BackerKit currently do not have the option to downgrade one's pledge so it is only available as an add-on.

Following the release of the new add-on and considering that there are still 21% of backers who have not completed the survey, we have extended the survey due date to 25th November.

Update On The Team & Our Work

Zeus-X

We have finished redesigning Zeus-X and the new mold with LED should be ready this week! Our plan for next week is to produce a prototype and perform various tests such as stress test, durability test and more. If everything goes smoothly during the test, we are expecting to start manufacture at the end of November and start shipping around mid-December. 

Zeus-X Pro

We are currently working on producing the prototype model for Zeus-X Pro in a two step process. 

1. Inspecting the structural integrity and aesthetics of the 3D printed prototype model. (This prototype will be available next week!) 

2. With the approval of the 3D printed prototype from our team, a factory-made prototype will be produced for final tests and evaluations.

Our design and marketing team have also begun work on our product packaging and we can't wait for you to see it! Stay tuned for future updates on our prototype models and product packaging.
